In Laudato Si, his 2015 encyclical letter on the care for our common home, Pope Francis writes, “The universe unfolds in God, who fills it completely. Hence, there is a mystical meaning to be found in a leaf, in a mountain trail, in a dewdrop, in a poor person’s face. The ideal is not only to pass from the exterior to the interior to discover the action of God in the soul, but also to discover God in all things.” [223]

Mount St. John invites you to discover God in the longing of your soul and in all God’s creatures. We provide space for contemplation and reflection on the unity of all Creation, a unity which guides our concern for our earth, our neighbors around the world and the poor. Whether you are here on a retreat, as part of a group experience, or on your own, we hope you find a spirit of peace and reconciliation that you take and share with the world.
