Join us for this beginner to intermediate workshop on how to use the free community science app iNaturalist app to log nature observations and identify species while contributing to real biodiversity and species management research. We'll cover differences between the original app (now iNat Classic) and the new version, how to make and share observations, connecting with others through projects, location permissions and digital privacy, and tips for getting the best results possible. No prior experience or knowledge of natural history needed - just bring a smartphone or tablet with an integrated camera (iPhone or Android) and curiosity!
Tara Poling is program coordinator at the Marianist Environmental Education Center, and manages the Mount Saint John All-Taxa Biotic Inventory project on iNaturalist.
