Each year, the Bergamo Center for Lifelong Learning, in collaboration with MEEC and the rest of the Mount St. John community, hosts the Midwest Native Plant Society’s annual conference. The Society is a non-profit organization of amateur and professional naturalists, botanists, teachers, researchers, gardeners, birders, photographers and others who share a deep appreciation for our native flora and fauna. They have donated more than $50,000 in conference proceeds to local conservation organizations, including MEEC. The 2024 annual conference will be August 2-4, and as of February 15, 2024 is sold out.
