Date:
Saturday, October 4, 2025 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm

This afternoon is offered as an optional continuation of the morning Pilgrimage of Hope for Creation, or a standalone event for those who can't attend the pilgrimage. Gather at 2 p.m. outside the Madeleine Room of the Chaminade Center at Mount Saint John. For a map and directions, click here. MEEC staff will lead two outdoor options. You may attend a prayerful walk through our native plant labyrtinth, modeled after the Chartres Cathedral labyrinth. The labyrinth gained popularity as a prayer for Christians during the middle ages as an alternative to dangerous pilgrimages to the Holy Land. Or, you may choose a guided nature hike through the Marianist Nature Preserve and experience native Ohio woodlands, a restored wetland, and the Bro. Don Geiger Prairie. MEEC staff and volunteers have been restoring the preserve for more than 25 years, and it is protected by a conservation easement held by our partners at Tecumseh Land Trust.

Registration for the Pilgrimage through the Archdioces of Cincinnati includes Mass and lunch. If you cannot attend the morning but would like to participate in Mass and lunch before the outdoor experiences, please email us.
