Trees are ubiquitous in the Bible. There are thousands of references to trees in the Bible, used sometimes to describe a scene, but more often to provide important lessons. Matthew and Tom will discuss important trees in the Old and New Testament. Matthew will focus on a theological perspective, while Tom will discuss trees in modern life.
Dr. Matthew Sleeth is an author, speaker and preacher on topics related to the biblical call to be good stewards of God’s creation. Dr. Sleeth is Executive Director of Blessed Earth. Dr. Tom Kimmerer is a scientist, author, and photographer who focuses on the biology and conservation of trees. Dr. Kimmerer is Chief Scientist of Venerable Trees, Inc.
