Celebrating 25 years

Land Service Volunteer Day

Date:
Saturday, April 1, 2023 - 1:00pm to 4:00pm

This remains prime time for controlling woody invasives, especially Asian bittersweet and wintercreeper. We'll spend some time replanting native shrubs in the recently cleared EQIP restoration area too. We'll supply all tools; bring your own gloves or borrow a pair of ours. Gather at the picnic bench outside the garage doors on the East side of St. Joseph Hall. Park on the South side of Sieben Hall or in Lot C. Please dress for the weather, and expect the trails to be muddy. After some work, we'll take a nature hike in search of early spring ephemeral wildflowers that have rebounded in the wake of the work of volunteers like you. RSVP by Thursday prior to info@meec.center.
