'Tis the season for native plant seed collection! Many of the early summer coneflowers, beardtongues and mount mint species have set seeds that are ready for harvest. These seeds will be grown out in our native plant nursery for use in ecological restoration projects here at Mount St. John, in urban pollinator gardens around greater Dayton, or sold in our summer 2026 native plant sale. We'll provide all the information and tools you need - no experience necessary! Feel free to bring your own gloves and clippers if you wish. Gather at the picnic bench outside the garage doors on the East side of St. Joseph Hall. Park on the East side of St. Joseph Hall or in Lot C. Close-toed shoes are a must and long pants are strongly recommended. If you have extra paper grocery bags, bring them along. RSVP by Thursday, September 4.
