The meditation grove sits on the remains of a number of small buildings built in the 1940s that housed chickens, ducks and pigs on the brother’s farm. Nature is gradually recovering area; notice the vegetation taking root amid the concrete. The hill to the east of the grove is home to a variety of birds that thrive in the edge habitat where both tree canopy and open space meets their food and shelter needs. The grove sits at the end of the woodland trail, and is an ideal place to pause and reflect on the gifts of the earth and the inspirations you’ll take from your experience.
During the winter months, MEEC staff maintains bird feeders that are monitored weekly as part of Project <<Feeder Watch>>.
