On August 7 our staff welcomed Peter Evans who joins us for the next year as a full-time volunteer with the Marianist PULSE (Partners for Urban Leadership, Service & Education) program. Peter is a 2017 graduate of the University of Dayton and has volunteered at MEEC since he was in middle school. He worked for us part-time over the summer helping manage our native plant nursery, assisting with land management, leading service groups and staffing programs. Eight PULSE volunteers are working in Dayton this year; others are placed at Chaminade-Julienne High School, the Rivers Institute at UD, Mission of Mary Co-op, the Brunner Literacy Center, the Victory Project, Our Lady of Rosary School & El Puente, and ECHO. The PULSE program is featured in the Summer issue of Alive! magazine. Welcome Peter, and best wishes to all the volunteers!
