Late last year the Marianist Province USA (brothers and priests), our sponsors, finalized the conservation easement on the 62-acre Marianist Nature Preserve at Mount St. John. This has been a long process in partnership with Tecumseh Land Trust of dialogue, learning, and prayerful discernment about how to steward the gifts entrusted to us, respond in faith to the needs and challenges at this point in history, and prophetically witness to an understanding of what Pope Francis calls an integral ecology.

We had planned to celebrate the easement with our donors, volunteers and friends in May. Obviously, those plans have changed due to the Coronavirus. We are tentatively hoping to celebrate in October 2020. We'll have a prayer service, workshops and activities throughout the day including nature hikes, and a reception with Friends of MEEC and members of the Marianist Family. We'll keep you posted about our plans, and invite your suggestions at info@meec.center

As part of our planning process, we invite you to share your memories of Mount St. John. The property has been such an integral part of the lives of so many Marianist family members, visitors, QAC members, Bergamo Center retreatants, neighbors, friends and volunteers, and we want to celebrate the ways you have prayed, played, learned and found community on the property.
