Sacred Embrace

Cincinnati artist Carrie Pate designed the Sacred Embrace Earthwork as a living art installation at the crest of Mount St. John in response to her deeply felt call to connect the processes of art with the processes of the earth. It sits at the trail head leading into the woods, providing an alternative path that unfolds for those who choose to pass through its gate. The shape of the earthwork is recalled in that gate, which mirrors the arms of the mount, the central path and the meditation mound, on which you are invited to pause for reflection. As you emerge to the trail fruits from your reflection become grace to be shared.
